If you were planning a medical emergency for tonight, be prepared to travel farther.
According to Northern Health, the D&T Centre is on “diversion” for this evening, due to “an unexpected and unavoidable gap in staffing coverage.”
That means emergency services are suspended for the evening (from 5 pm until 9am tomorrow morning).
People who need Emergency care, should, according to Northern Health “call 9-1-1 for transport to the next open emergency department in Dawson Creek or Chetwynd, or seek private transportation to these alternate facilities.”
