Charge! (Soon)

While construction on the new BC Hydro EV Chargers in town was done back in the fall, the chargers themselves have been gated off to the public.

But that’s about to change says BC Hydro. According to a representative, the new station should be open by the end of the month.

The new station is part of a crop of new chargers opening across the Northeast. In the next few months, expect new stations at Toad River, Fort Nelson, Prophet River, Wonowan, the Mile 80 Rest Stop, East Pine, McLeod Lake, and of course, Tumbler Ridge.

Most of these are being operated by BC Hydro, while some are being opened by Flo, a for-profit EV charging company.
