John Schadan resigns; Brian Marshall takes over

At the end of December 2021, John Schadan resigned as Conuma’s company President. According to Conuma, he did this to spend more time with his family. “Both to provide necessary care for his parents and to continue adjusting to the role of being a grandparent with his wife Louise.”

Schadan was president for nearly two years, and took over the role from Mark Bartkoski, who stepped down at the end of March, 2021.

Former Vice President Brian Marshall has taken over the reins at Conuma, but not as president. Instead, he takes on the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.

Marshal has been with Conuma since November 2020. He has nearly 30 years of mining experience in Operations, Maintenance and Engineering.

Prior to joining Conuma, Brian held progressive roles with a number of mining companies including General Manager of Baffinland Iron Mines, and K2 Esterhazy Potash Mine and Colonsay Potash Mine. He also held key positions with BHP at the EKATI Diamond Mine in the Northwest Territories.
