Boundary Road down to single lane alternating at last report

Tumbler Ridge is getting close to being cut off by rains. Again.

Yesterday, rains washed under the road on Highway 52 N, forcing crews to close the road down for at least three days.

As of today, the Kelly Lake Road is flooded, and Highway 52 E is down to single lane alternating due to a washout near Redwillow. The washout is past the turnoff onto the Redwillow Hiding Creek Route. (I drove out to the turnoff and about 5 km past, and the road was navigable.)

Currently, the only road out of town not suffering from closures/partial closures or flooding is Highway 29 through Chetwynd.

While the rains were supposed to taper off by today, the Rainfall warning has been extended until Saturday, with up to 40 mm of rain forecasted.
