After the bombing of Hiroshima, Sadako Sasaki set out to fold a thousand cranes, part of a Japanese tradition known as “senbazuru”. She folded more than 1400 before she passed away from leukemia. The tradition has become a symbol of peace. These were sent to the Tumbler Ridge Baptist Church by the Pilgrim Christian Church in Hambden, Ohio.
