The Tumbler Ridge Global Geopark is creating a recognition program for businesses and organizations that pledge to work towards a specific goal that will have positive community and/or environmental impacts.
“Each participating business will do a short 30-second video of them taking the pledge and showcasing the action they are undertaking as part of the pledge,” says Geopark Executive Director Manda Maggs. “These videos will be displayed on our website and we will share them on social media.”
As recognition of taking the pledge, the businesses will receive a hand-cut slice of log from trees felled by the Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society Each log slice is laser engraved with the “Right Track Award of Recognition” along with the company’s name or logo and the date and trail where the log was harvested.
