Tumbler Ridge’s annual celebration of winter, the annual Winter Carnival, started on Monday with a free swim, Wall Scrabble at the library and the first ever Animals and Adventure presentation by members of the Tumbler Ridge Outdoor Recreation Society, including members Mark Campbell from the Wolverine Nordic and Mountain Society and Jane Miedzinski (pictured), talking about how animals survive in winter and how our actions can help or harm them.
