Once again, the Flatbed Loops are happening as a build-up to Emperor’s Challenge.
The walks are happening every Thursday at 7:00pm from now until August 7.
Some people run, but many, if not most, just walk as a chance to get out and stretch their legs and walk in nature with a group of people.
“Imagine the sun setting behind the trees, the gentle sounds of nature surrounding you, and the camaraderie of fellow walkers sharing stories and laughter. It’s not just a walk; it’s a journey into community and wellness,” says Jenna McQueen, who is now the Primary Care Network Coordinator with the South Peace Division of Family Practice and she worked on setting up the Walk With Your Doc event, which kicked off the Flatbed Loops on May 15.
Charissa Tonnesen, who has been organizing the Flatbed Loops event for years says the first week went great. “We had 25 participants, plus one dog! The weather couldn’t have been more perfect and everyone had a wonderful time.”
To join in, all you have to do is show up on Thursday before 7:00 pm at the Lions Flatbed Campground.
