Conuma celebrating mining month with public tours of Quintette

May is mining month here in BC, and over the next couple issues, we’re going to be celebrating some of the stories coming out of the mining industry.

While Tumbler Ridge was built specifically to house workers for the town’s two coal mines, not everyone here works at the mine, or understands the process of how coal gets from the ground to the port.

So to celebrate mining month, Conuma is offering tours for the public. It’s an opportunity to see the mine in action and learn more about the process of mining.

It’s also a chance to ask questions about the industry and about Quintette specifically.
