We are so sad to announce the sudden passing of Blaze Kathryn Bressers on Feb.4, 2025 at the age of 71.
Blaze was born in Winnipeg, MB on Aug.27, 1953, she spent her early years in Vermillion Bay and Kingston, ON. As a young adult Blaze settled in Calgary, AB where she met her spouse James Walker and raised her daughter and two sons. They then moved on to Tumbler Ridge, BC in 1999 where they made many great friends.
After losing James in 2009, Blaze met her spouse Ronald Hogg in 2012 and a few years later they moved to 100 Mile House, BC where they had many great adventures surrounded by friends and family. Blaze and Ron moved to Thorhild, AB in 2023 where she resided until her passing.
Blaze loved being surrounded by her family and closest friends, she was funny, loved to read, enjoyed playing bingo, camping, gardening and was very passionate about her love of cooking.
Blaze is survived by her Spouse Ronald Hogg, Sister Kendra Hegadorn, son Michael Bressers, Daughter Melissa Cooper (spouse Tony States), Son Russell Bressers, Stepson Jason Walker (wife Claire, Tyson, Merrill), Grandson Taylor Phillips (wife Christine), Grand Daughter Raena Phillips (spouse Rylan Shilka), Grand Daughter Stephany Lloyd and Great Grandson Ripley Shilka. Blaze was pre-deceased by her Grandfather John Terry, Grandmother Ethel Merkoske, Mother Nolaine Brommit, Brother Allen Brommit and Spouse James Walker. According to her wishes, Blaze was cremated and the family will hold a celebration of life in the summer of 2025, date will be announced.
