Richard Ivity and wife Nicole Menzies have been touring across Canada in their Rivian EV for much of the last year and a half, from St. John’s Newfoundland to Dawson City to Skidegate on Haida Gwaii. Their travels brought them to Tumbler Ridge for a meet and greet on October 27 on a day that threatened (but did not deliver) snow.
In their time on the road, says Ivity, the biggest issue they’ve had is the number of tires they’ve gone through. While there hasn’t always been chargers, they’ve been able to charge using 30 amp service at the plentiful RV parks along their route, however, they’ve found in the last year, then number of public charging locations has increased dramatically.
