Marshall Bigsby, BC NDP
Biography
My name is Marshall Bigsby, and I’m running as your BC NDP candidate for Peace River South. I am a lifelong resident of BC, and an advocate for people and families in need. I graduated in economics from the University of Victoria, where I represented students in the University Senate. I’ve worked as both an economics tutor, and also for many years as a cook.
I remember all too well the disastrous period of economic austerity that was enforced by John Rustad the last time he was in government. As a student at the time, I recall how damaging John Rustad’s cuts were to our education and healthcare systems.
Rustad has a 20-year track record of hiking costs on families and cutting the services people rely on. All while protecting powerful interests and speculators, and looking out for the top 2%. If he wins this election, regular people will pay the price, and life will get harder. That’s a risk the people of Peace River South can’t afford.
