The NDP has fielded a candidate for the South Peace, and he’s coming in on a parachute. Please welcome Marshall Scott-Bigsby.
Scott-Bigsby is a Ministerial Advisor in the Ministry of Water, Lands and Resource Stewardship down in Victoria and holds a bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Victoria, where he graduated four years ago.
Bigsby started working for the government in the office of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation in 2022, and has rather quickly moved up the ranks, from Administrative Assistant to Executive Assistant to Ministerial Advisor.
Although his name is not on the official candidates list yet, it will be as soon as he can get his paperwork filed. He will be joining the race with Larry Neufeld, who is running for the BC Conservatives, and incumbent Mike Bernier, who is running as an independent after the BC United pulled from the race.
Trent is the publisher of Tumbler RidgeLines.
