After six months without a CAO, the district has hired Lisa Scott as the new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Scott has 25 years working in the municipal field and will officially take over as the District’s CAO on June 3, 2024.
“As the new CAO, Ms. Scott will provide leadership and strategic direction to the team, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality services to the community,” writes Mayor Darryl Krakowka when announcing the hiring. “Her expertise in finance and administration will be invaluable as we work to manage the District’s resources effectively and efficiently.” Scott replaces Brian Woodward, who spent a scant 169 days as the town’s CAO before being let go in November of last year. Woodward himself replaced Jennifer Thompson, who spent less than two years as the town’s CAO before “parting ways” with the District in July of 2022.
Corporate Officer Aleen Torraville has spent the last six month doing double duty as both corporate officer and acting CAO. She also covered the gap after Thompson left, as well as before she arrived in the town. However, Torraville will be retiring before the end of the year.
