So long, CAO, we hardly knew you

169 days after the announcement that the District of Tumbler Ridge was hiring Brian Woodward as CAO, they have announced that Brian Woodward is no longer CAO of the District of Tumbler Ridge.

Woodward was hired after nearly a year looking, when former CAO Jen Thompson left after less than two years on the job.

Before her, Jordan Wall occupied the role, after previously working as the District’s Economic Development officer.

He moved on to take a job with the District of Comox.

Woodward came to the District from the small town of Canal Flats.

There is no word from the District as to reason for his dismissal. Indeed, the press release was terse and uninformative. “District of Tumbler Ridge Council would like to advise that Brian Woodward is no longer with the District,” wrote mayor Darryl Krakowka. “We thank Brian for his contributions and will be starting a search for a new Chief Administrative Officer immediately.”

Aleen Torraville will be acting CAO until a new CAO is found.
