BC Wildfire Service is implementing an Area Restriction Order for the vicinity of the South Peace Complex of fires, which includes the West Kiskatinaw and Peavine Creek Fires. “The size of the area restriction reflects the continued need to protect the public in areas where there are ongoing fire suppression activities and hazardous fire behaviour conditions,” says BC Wildfire. The order goes into effect today at noon (June 10), and will remain in effect until Sept 30, unless rescinded. Map below. |
