Dan McPhail, resident of Beaverlodge, AB, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, at home in Beaverlodge, at the age of 75 years.
Dan was born on April 3, 1947, in Edmonton, AB. In the early 1950s, the family settled in the Yukon. At the age of 16, he joined the army and served in Germany for 3 years as a NATO peacekeeper.

Dan was a skilled mechanic, plying his trade all across British Columbia, and the Yukon. His talents translated to a craftsman in his woodshop where he turned out countless treasures and passed on his knowledge.
A life of adventure from early travels overseas to his annual ATV trips in the mountains kept his spirit young. Piloting his small plane in the skies of the North was a dream of Dan’s that he cherished.
Dan is survived by his wife Susan; children: John (Natalie), and Katie (Neal); grandchildren: Aislin, Conor, Renee, and Dan; siblings: Donna, Rod, Charles, and Susan.
He was predeceased by his parents John and Rose McPhail, and sister Rhonda.
