Five Federal Candidates (so far)

With a week left for parties to field candidates for the upcoming Federal election, there are currently no candidates (update: as I was posting this, Dave Jeffers was confirmed, so, one) that have been officially confirmed for the Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies Riding, according to the Elections Canada site.

However, five candidates have declared that they will be running, including incumbent Bob Zimmer, who will be running again for the Conservative party.

He will once again face off against Catherine Kendall, who ran for the Green Party in the last election. Kendall placed third, with just over six percent of the vote. Kendall also ran for the Green party in the provincial election in 2020 in the Prince George-Mackenzie riding.

After getting 15.6 percent of the vote in the provincial election, Dawson Creek resident Corey Longley is trying his hand at the Federal level, running for the NDP.

The Liberal party candidate is Amir Alavi. Little is known about the candidate, other than he appears to be a parachute candidate.

Also running will be Dave Jeffers for the Maverick Party.

We will have interviews will all the candidates (all the candidates that will talk to us, that is), coverage of the planned all candidates meeting and more as we get closer to the election
