After being damaged by a contractor on September 2, a pipeline supplying Tumbler Ridge with natural gas is now fixed.
According to Joe Mazza, Senior Vice President, Operations and Engineering for PNG, the repairs happened over the long weekend, with the line being given the all clear on September 7.
“Throughout our response, PNG’s priorities were ensuring both public safety and the continuity of gas supply to Tumbler Ridge in order to prevent any service interruptions for our customers,” says the company.
“Our overall response was aided by the support we received from the District of Tumbler Ridge; the community; and our contractors which included Plum Gas Solutions and Ft. St. John-based D-W Wilson Services Ltd. and Ace Instruments Ltd.”
