Environment Canada has issued a special weather warning for the Peace River Region. A Pacific front is expected to move into the Peace River region early today. This will be followed by an Arctic front pushing through the region in the afternoon and then stalling on Saturday.
Rain mixed with snow over the southern Peace River region will change to snow later today when the Arctic front pushes through.
Long periods of snow are expected with total accumulation of 15 to 25 cm possible by Saturday evening.
