The Tumbler Ridge Library hosted its annual pie of the year contest on October 19.
Winner of best pie of the year? David Durrant (pictured with judges Jan Turner, Mayor Keith Bertrand, Sarah Gamble, Curtis Miedzinski and Joan Zimmer; David’s the one with the blue ribbon).
His pie, nicknamed the Columbian edged out Turtle-dove Hall’s Blueberry Cranberry Pie and Alex Guilick’s Pumpkin Pie.
Lucky bidders were able to take home their own version of these pies as part of a silent auction.
