Today is the day. After months of speculation, weeks of campaigning, and years of social media meme-fighting, today is the day that determines the next four years of the country.

Elections Canada recently released advance polling numbers, and 15,341 people have already voted in this district. That’s nearly a quarter of the 75,000 voters who were registered for the last election, though according to Elections Canada, the population for the riding is 110,995.
Across the country, Around 4,700,000 people have already voted at the advance polls. This is, according to Elections Canada, a 29 percent increase from the 3,657,415 electors who voted in advance in the 2015 general election. Of course, this is only an estimate, as not all polls have reported.
Just a note: voting takes place from 7:00am to 7:00pm, despite it saying on the Elections Canada website that voters in the Mountain Time Zone
