Freezing rain overnight has made travel on the highways to Dawson and Chetwynd treacherous.
The rain has caused an accident on the road from Dawson Creek to Grande Prairie, which closed the road earlier this morning, though the road appears to have been reopened.
While the sun is out and the roads should melt fairly quickly, watch for ice in the shady sections.
In town, crews have been out sanding major intersections, but caution is advised, especially at intersections, or when heading out on foot onto sidewalks.
